Περίληψη

Ένας μεγάλος αριθμός άρθρων της Βικιπαίδειας (σε κάθε μια από τις 299 γλώσσες για τις οποίες υπάρχουν υλοποιήσεις) διαθέτει τους λεγόμενους διαβικικούς συνδέσμους (interwiki links) προς το «ομότιτλο» άρθρο σε τρίτες γλώσσες. Εν προκειμένω, η χρήση των εισαγωγικών συνιστά και τον βασικό προβληματισμό για την άντληση ορολογικών ισοδύναμων. Κατά την αξιολόγηση ενός μεγάλου αριθμού άρθρων της Βικιπαίδειας βρέθηκαν στοιχεία ανισοδυναμίας και γλωσσικής ακαταλληλότητας που κατατάσσονται στις παρακάτω (ενδεικτικές και όχι εξαντλητικές) κατηγορίες:

Customise machine translation in SDL Studio

One easy way to customize machine translation output in SDL Studio is by using a plug-in like MT Enhanced Plugin for Trados Studio.

Studio 2014/2015 SP2 messing with spacing/line breaks in php files

I tried both versions and the result was files that threw errors when testing on the server.
When I opened them with a text editor I could see that there were very important spacing/line break differences in the code. Is there any way to instruct Studio not to mess up with spacing/white space in php files?

Search multiple dictionaries with one click

It has been 4 years since Magic Search was launched, providing one-page search results of multiple dictionaries for a limited number of language pairs (up to 28).

The code of Magic Search has been refactored and massively enhanced to support a number of new features and well over 10,000 language pairs. Now it has its own dedicated domain—MagicSearch.org.

All you need to do is select your favourite language pair, submit a search, and you will get search results from a number of different sources (dictionaries, corpora, MT engines).

You can either have one page results ON or OFF. ON will allow you to scroll through the sources but it will be a bit jumpy until all dictionaries load, whereas if you select OFF you will have to click on each dictionary button in order to display it.

Use links in MultiTerm (Excel, Glossary Converter)

Following an interesting chat with Paul in ProZ (topic title: MultiTerm 2015 – hyperlinked text in notes?) I figured out a way to use links not only with MultiTerm Convert, but with Glossary Converter also. To start with, here is Paul’s video using MultiTerm Convert.
